You're always welcome!

At Mornington Bowling Club you're always welcome- whether your interest is in the wonderful game of bowls or simply enjoying the clubs facilities and relaxing environment!

Our Story

An Aboriginal campsite, located on a clifftop overlooking Port Phillip Bay saw the introduction of lawn bowls to the Mornington Peninsula, when the Mornington Bowling Club was established in 1917.

Today the club has 188 members. Of these, some 180 are full bowling members and a further 8 social members.

Ideally positioned in the heart of Mornington, the club is accessible by public transport with a bus stop close by, and only a 5 minute walk to Mornington's Main street.

On the green

Social Bowls are played every Wednesday & Saturday. Beginners are welcome and coaching can be provided if required. For those looking for a more competitive environment, the club fields several teams in Pennant competition and conducts Club Championships in Men's, Women's and Mixed competitions.

Mornington Bowling Club also likes to get the general public involved and hosts Barefoot Bowls every Friday night, during daylight savings.

Off the green

At Mornington Bowling Club we conduct a series of functions throughout the year. We also organise bowls & non-bowls activities. We believe in giving back, by hosting a number of charity days each year.

The clubhouse includes a bar facility, lounge area and a function room. The bar facilities are open during bowling sessions as well as Friday nights for our Happy hour starting at 5pm. Our clubs facilities are available for hire for that special occasion.
